NERDS RULE INC. was created by Executive Director and Founder Tristaca McCray in October 2011 as a non-profit organization for community building, youth, teens, and youth adults. Our creative programs and projects promote social, economic change that target a variety of global change using the Sustainable Development Goals.
Proven leader with extensive experience in strategy, development, and operations of winning programs focused on delivering best-in-class results. Highly effective in working with diverse teams to grow and administer complex operations. Committed to providing thought leadership and business acumen to innovative solution development. Passionate about the importance of building community and leveraging the strengths of team members to deliver significant and sustainable positive impact.
We advocate for resources, education, employment, humans rights, domestic violence, mental health, healthy living, bullying, and individuals who desire to engage in rebuilding their communities and their lives.
We fundraise to support the work of community campaigns like our Prevention Project for Mental Health Awareness. We also participate in events, like Out of the Darkness Walk to Fight Suicide, Save A Life Walk, Breast Cancer Walk Awareness, Bullying Prevention, 16 Days to End Violence Against Women, and Just Say No To Drugs to increase awareness of issues that raise money to support programs.
We educate our board members and partners during annual meetings, weekly emails, video chats about how they can empower themselves and others. NERDS RULE INC. student groups are designed to create the next generation of advocates, like in our Standing Strong program launching in November 2016.
We collaborate with local USA organizations, UN agencies, international NGOs, and civil society in our efforts to achieve our goals with our programs and projects that our World Changers team facilitate.
